Ho Thien pagoda, the pen name is Tru Phong, is located in Tru Phong mountain, Phu Ninh hamlet, BinhKhe commune. The pagoda is constructed in 1327 by Phap Loa - 2nd patriarch of Truc Lam Zen sect. The name of Ho Thien pagoda means the pagoda is being built in the Buddha scene, paradise.
Legend has it that thetemple was the meditation place for the monks of Tran dynasty after their successful completion of study program Quynh Lam pagoda. Under the Le Trung Hung, the pagoda had to undergo may restorations by the Le dynasty, including the main pagoda, monk house, patriarch house, tower garden, stele house and general hall.
