The landscapes complex with mountains bearing names which are close to lives of farmers such as Canh mountain (shaped as a plow), Dong Thoc mountain (shaped as a paddy rice pile), Con Meo (Cat) mountain, Con Chuot (Rat) mountain, Thung mountain (shaped as a mortar for crushing rice), etc.

The group of relics associates with historical resistance against foreign invasions of the nation. Under the Tran Dynasty, the Tran Nhan Tong King chose the Canh mountain and Con Meo (Cat) mountain to put guardrooms for giving remote commands to the Bach Dang battle. Canh mountain also was the main base of the Doc Tit rise-up in arms, as the most important revolutionary base in the French Colonialist resistance. In the caves of Canh mountain, 73 soldiers, officials and citizens of Yen Duc sacrificed their lives to defend their homeland. At foot of the Thung mountain, there is an ancestral temple for worshiping the 8 top progenitors of 5 Families in Don Son village – those were Creators who had merits to reclaim land and establish the village; at the southeast of the Thung mountain is the Canh Huong Pagoda which was well known in the Le Trung Hung time; this was the place for the poets, writers to come for sightseeing and left their written evidences on the stone walls.
With its excellent value, in 1993 the Yen Duc historical and scenic relics were recognized as the national level Historical and scenic Relics.
