 The pagoda is located on a large land area, surrounded by lush green rice paddies, in Kim Son Ward, Dong Trieu Town. The pagoda face the West, not far from the pagoda front is the Cam river and Da Vach River, at the South is the Turtle mountain and Dong Ma mountain, forming the two dragons flanking water. 

Construction year of the pagoda is unknown, but on the stone tablet of the pagoda recorded the year of renovation is 17th Chinh Hoa (1696). Up to now, the pagoda has been existed for 400 years and undergone several restorations and embellishment. However the pagoda still retains its ancient look, contemplation of an ancient temple. Many Buddhist statues are still preserved in the pagoda, dating from the Le, the Tay Son and the Nguyen Dynasty. The statues are carved elaborately and meticulously with soft but energetic caving.
The Festivals of the Nhue Ho pagoda takes place from January 19th to 22nd lunar month every year, attracted a lot of pilgrims from everywhere to come for visit and worship.
In 2001, the pagoda was granted with provincial level art relics by the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee.
