The Dong Trieu ancient land was called An Sinh or Yen Sinh. This is the original homeland of the Tran before moving to Thai Binh and Nam Dinh. Therefore, the Tran kingschose the area for building their own tombs and simultaneously construction and development of temples as a place for sitting in meditation for learning the religion, giving lectures on scriptures of Truc Lam Zen Sect.

Today, the Tran relics in the ancient An Sinh – now called Dong Trieu includes 14 relics: An Sinh Temple, Tu Phuc tomb, Thai temple, Thai Tomb, Muc Tomb, Ngai Son Tomb, Phu Son Tomb, Nguyen Tomb, Dong Hy Tomb, Ngoc Thanh Assembly Hall and Pagoda, Ngoa Van Pagoda, Trung Tiet Pagoda and Ho Thien pagoda, all are located in the communes of An Sinh, Binh Khe, Thuy An and Trang An.
On 9th December 2013, the Tran Dynasty Relics in Dong Trieu was recognized as National Special Relics.
